# Connect Mydrop to this AI app

You are an AI app. The person who sent you here wants to plan, write and schedule
their social media posts in Mydrop with you. Set Mydrop up for them, then sign them in.

- Mydrop MCP server: `https://mcp.mydropai.com/mcp`
- Type: remote MCP server, Streamable HTTP
- Sign-in: OAuth. There is no API key to paste. The person signs in to Mydrop in
  their browser and chooses the workspaces and what you may do.

## 1. Add the server for the app you are running in

Pick the line for your app. If you can run commands, run it yourself.

- **Claude Code:** `claude mcp add --transport http mydrop https://mcp.mydropai.com/mcp`,
  then run `/mcp`, pick `mydrop` and sign in.
- **Codex CLI:** `codex mcp add mydrop --url https://mcp.mydropai.com/mcp`,
  then `codex mcp login mydrop`.
- **Cursor:** add this under `"mcpServers"` in `~/.cursor/mcp.json`:
  `"mydrop": { "url": "https://mcp.mydropai.com/mcp" }`,
  then click Connect next to mydrop in Cursor Settings > MCP.
- **Gemini CLI:** `gemini mcp add --transport http mydrop https://mcp.mydropai.com/mcp`,
  then sign in when it asks.
- **VS Code (Copilot):** `code --add-mcp '{"name":"mydrop","type":"http","url":"https://mcp.mydropai.com/mcp"}'`,
  then start the server from the MCP list and sign in.
- **Claude, ChatGPT or another chat app:** you cannot add it yourself. Tell the
  person where to go in this app's settings (Connectors, or Apps) to add a custom
  connector named `Mydrop` with the URL `https://mcp.mydropai.com/mcp`, then Connect.
- **Any other MCP client:** add a remote HTTP MCP server named `mydrop` with the URL
  `https://mcp.mydropai.com/mcp`. It supports OAuth discovery (RFC 9728), dynamic
  client registration and client ID metadata documents, with PKCE.

## 2. Sign in

A Mydrop page opens in the browser. The person ticks the workspaces you may use and
picks what you may do:

- **Look only:** see workspaces, brands, accounts, posts, comments and the Inbox.
- **Draft and schedule:** also write and change posts, schedule, approve, comment and create campaigns.
- **Everything:** also publish right away, delete posts and answer comments and messages.

They can disconnect you any time in Mydrop, Settings > AI apps.

## 3. Start

Once connected, call the `get_guide` tool first. It explains how Mydrop works and
which tool to use for what. Then ask the person what they want to post.
